Cross Country
Skiing
Home of the
Noquemanon
Ski Marathon,
Marquette County has 85K of groomed cross-country ski trails
and several nordic skiing events. Experience the natural beauty
and wildlife of the Upper Peninsula on wilderness trails winding
through the snow-covered forests along frozen rivers and lakes.
Take the entire family on beginner-level trails or spend an entire
day on challenging courses for advanced skiers. Maps, rental equipment
and tour services are readily available
through Great
Northern Adventures or Trailsview
Treks.
Check out www.noquetrails.org
for trail information.
The Noquemanon Trail
Network is quickly becoming a premier non-motorized trail network.
The armband pass program provides the opportunity to ski and/or
snowshoe on 85K of groomed trails including:
Blueberry Ridge Trails
(20K)
Saux Head Trails (25K)
Lower Noque Trail (25K)
Al Quaal Trails (20K)
Grey Walls Loop at Mqt Golf & Country Club Trails (8K)
The NTN asks that you continue to support the pay pipe at Blueberry
Ridge. This money is used to pay the NTN for the grooming of those
trails three times per week as contracted. Any additional grooming
dollars are derived from the armband ski pass program.
Funding is needed for grooming equipment including the Bombardier
groomer, snowmobiles and Tidd-Tech. The more monies collected, the
better the trails will be!
