Marquette
Kellie reports:

The opening act is on stage and the headliners are waiting in the wings! Those amazing deciduous trees are starting their long-awaited fall performance and are at about 25% color. Appreciative audience members searching highways, trails, lakes and streams for the reds, golds and bronzes of the season would do well to turn their attentions away from Lake Superior and look inland. The Big Lake has a modifying effect on area temps, slowing the trees’ costume change by 7-10 days. Enjoy the show!

Gwinn
Jeannette at the Gwinn-Sawyer Chamber of Commerce reports:
The Gwinn-Sawyer-Little Lake-Princeton-Austin areas of Southern Marquette County are still pretty green because of their jackpine population, but mixed in you will see signs of gold and red trying to make an apprearance here and there. Hopefully within the next week we should be seeing more color.

Ishpeming:

Cheryl reports:
Tha area is blossoming with brilliant reds and oranges! The Western end of Marquette County has peaked to about 60% and the scenery is GREAT for fall color tours!

Michigamme:

Sherri from the Maple Ridge Resort reports:
Michigamme is bursting with fall colors! The reds are coming on strong with oranges and yellows continuing to hold their own. The leaves have really popped over the past weekend with 60% of full color. Get out and enjoy the fresh fall air as well as those beautiful colors!
