Presque Isle
Park
One of Marquette County's
most beloved attractions, the pageantry of Marquette's Presque Isle
Park offers splendid opportunities to experience the gift of the
great outdoors any time of the year.
Unmatched by natural
beauty, the 323-acre park offers a free roaming refuge for white
tail deer. Walk the beaches, travel through the wooded forest, enjoy
evening concerts at the band shell, take a leisurely drive on the
narrow road circling the isle (Peter White Drive) or stop for a
picnic. Numerous cooking grills and tables are provided. In the
winter the Presque Isle Pavilion is open with coffee and hot chocolate.
View Great Lakes ore
freighters being loaded with iron ore pellets at the Lake Superior
and Ishpeming Railroad Ore dock.
An ice cream stand operates
Memorial Day through Labor Day. The shiras pool and waterslide are
open mid-June through Labor Day.
Enjoy cross-country skiing
or snowshoeing in the winter months.
